The AI Email Assistant for Outlook That Lives in iMessage

An AI email assistant for Outlook is a service that connects to your Outlook account via Microsoft OAuth, processes incoming messages on your behalf, and surfaces only the ones that genuinely need your attention. Sifta is the AI email assistant for Outlook built for busy professionals who don't want to live in their inbox. Connect Microsoft 365 or Outlook.com in under 2 minutes via secure Microsoft OAuth and Sifta starts reading, classifying, and summarizing every incoming email, texting you the priorities via iMessage.

Outlook users have been historically underserved by AI email tools because most products launched as Gmail-first and treated Outlook as an afterthought, if they supported it at all. Sifta treats Outlook as a first-class destination. The Microsoft Graph integration, the OAuth flow, the classification model, and the iMessage delivery layer all work identically whether you connect Microsoft 365, Outlook.com, or a personal Hotmail account. The AI does not behave differently based on which provider you use, and there are no missing features for Outlook users. If your company runs on Microsoft 365 and you have wanted an AI email assistant that does not require migrating to Gmail or relying on a Chrome extension, Sifta is the most complete option that does not force a provider change. There is also an enterprise-readiness dimension. Sifta supports Microsoft 365 tenant-level OAuth, conditional access policies, and the standard Microsoft Graph permissions, so security teams can review Sifta the same way they would review any other Microsoft-integrated SaaS tool. That makes adoption inside large Outlook-based organizations meaningfully simpler than it is for Gmail-first tools that require a workaround.

You want an AI to handle your Outlook inbox, but most AI email tools are Gmail-only or require a separate dashboard.

How Sifta Fixes This

Sifta connects to your Outlook account via secure Microsoft OAuth in under 2 minutes, no password shared, no add-in to install, no migration required.

An AI model reads every incoming Outlook message in real time via the Microsoft Graph API, classifies it for importance, and summarizes the top-priority ones.

Important Outlook messages get pushed to your iPhone as iMessages within seconds; everything else is archived silently to your Outlook archive folder where it stays searchable.

How Sifta Works

AI generates a 2-3 sentence summary of every high-priority email: who it's from, what they need, and how urgent it is.

  4. 4

    Summaries arrive via iMessage

You get a text on your iPhone within seconds of the email landing in your Outlook inbox.

  5. 5

    Noise is archived automatically

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Sifta work with Microsoft 365 and Outlook.com? +

Yes, Sifta supports both Microsoft 365 (business and personal) and Outlook.com accounts via Microsoft's official OAuth standard. The connection flow is the same regardless of which account type you use.

Does it work with on-premise Exchange Server? +

Sifta works with Outlook accounts that use Microsoft 365 or Outlook.com. On-premise Exchange Server installations are supported only when synced through Microsoft 365, pure on-prem Exchange without cloud sync isn't currently supported.

Does it work with shared mailboxes? +

Sifta is designed for personal inbox monitoring. Shared mailboxes (info@, support@, etc.) require different access patterns and aren't currently supported, Sifta connects to your individual Outlook inbox only.

Does Sifta require admin approval for Microsoft 365? +

Sifta uses standard Microsoft Graph OAuth scopes that most Microsoft 365 tenants allow individual users to grant. Some enterprise tenants require admin consent, if so, Sifta provides a one-click admin approval link your IT team can use.

How is Sifta different from Outlook's Focused Inbox? +

Sifta is different from Outlook's Focused Inbox in two key ways: Focused Inbox sorts emails into two folders inside Outlook that you still have to open and check, while Sifta pushes the priorities to iMessage so you never have to open Outlook at all. Sifta also uses a much more accurate AI model than Outlook's built-in classifier.
