No app installation is needed on your phone. Sifta is a service that connects to your Gmail via OAuth and communicates with you through iMessage or SMS. Setup takes about 2 minutes.

What actions can I take from a text reply? +

Archive, mark as important, flag for follow-up, and request a draft reply. More actions are being added based on user feedback.

Is this secure? +

Yes. Sifta uses Gmail's official OAuth 2.0 authentication, which means your credentials are never stored. You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account settings.

What if I want to manage more than just the alerts Sifta sends? +

You can ask Sifta to search your inbox or retrieve specific emails by texting a command. This is in active development for the full launch.
