Is Sifta Safe? How It Connects to Your Email and What It Never Does
Sifta connects to Gmail and Outlook through Google's and Microsoft's official sign-in, so your password is never shared. It never deletes email, never sends a client anything you have not seen, never sells your data, never uses it for ads and never trains general AI models on it. Sifta uses Google's and Microsoft's official sign-in (OAuth), the same connection every trusted third-party app uses, so it never sees your password.
When you connect Gmail or Outlook you sign in on Google's or Microsoft's own page and grant Sifta access to read, draft and organize mail. Sifta stores the resulting access token in encrypted form. It never asks for and never stores your email password. Sifta's use of Google data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
What Sifta never does
Sifta never deletes an email, and it never sends a client anything you have not seen first.
The cleanup Sifta does is archiving inside your own mailbox: junk moves out of your primary view and stays searchable in Gmail or Outlook. Replies to clients are drafted by Sifta and sent by you, until you tell Sifta it may send first replies on its own. Every action Sifta takes comes back to you as a visible text message.

What Sifta stores
Sifta stores your account details, your encrypted email connection, and the facts it needs to remember your clients and deals.
That means your name, email and phone number; billing details, which Stripe processes and Sifta's servers never hold; the encrypted Gmail or Outlook token; the email content Sifta processes to do its job and the client and deal facts it pulls from it; and the usage and security data needed to run the service. How to disconnect
Disconnecting Sifta takes one tap and takes effect immediately.
Remove Sifta under third-party access in your Google Account or Microsoft account, or text Sifta and ask it to disconnect. Access ends at once and your emails stay exactly as they were. To have everything Sifta stored about you deleted, email privacy@getsifta.com; deletion is processed within 30 days and confirmed in writing. Cancelling the subscription is one word by text.
