Meta Muse for Real Estate Agents: What It Can Do, and 6 Tips Before You Connect Your Inbox

Meta Muse can read Gmail or Outlook, work with your calendar, browse the web and call some businesses for you, and it's free to start. It was built for personal life, not a real estate business: Meta names no CRM, MLS or lead portal connection. Use it for errands and research, and keep client data out at first.

What Muse is

Muse is Meta's personal AI agent, launched Sept 8, 2026, that you message like a person in the Muse app, on the web, inside WhatsApp or on a Mac.

Meta says Muse has its own computer, with a file system, a terminal and a full web browser. It keeps working after you close the app and comes back when something changes or when it needs your approval, like before it sends an email or makes a purchase.

It remembers details you mention once, and you can read and edit its memory files.

It is available in the US and, since Sept 18, Canada. There is a free tier and two paid plans, Power at $20 a month and Maximum at $100 a month.

The LA Times reported it was the No. 1 free app on Apple's US App Store as of Sept 21.

What it can do for an agent today

The useful jobs for an agent are the ones Meta and reviewers have shown: email, calendar, web errands, documents and calls to businesses.

What it doesn't say it does

Meta names no real estate connection: no Follow Up Boss, no kvCORE, no MLS, and no Zillow or Realtor.com.

Meta doesn't say Muse texts your clients from your own number, works inside group texts, or keeps a record of your deals. Meta describes general memory about you, not a record of your business.

If a service has a public API, Muse can set up a custom connection with credentials you give it. Meta hasn't said whether it reviews connections you set up yourself, so treat them as unvetted.

Meta sells business AI separately. Meta Business Agent comes in Meta One business plans, which start at $14.99 a month; the top tier starts at $499.

Muse is the consumer product, and Meta says nothing about using it for business or client data.

6 tips before you connect your work inbox

Set Muse up like a new assistant: limited access first, more once it earns it.

  1. 01Turn off training first. It is on by default. Go to Settings, then Data controls, then "Help improve our AI models."
  2. 02Keep the approval step. Muse stops before sending email or buying by default. Leave that on for anything a client will see.
  3. 03Connect a personal Gmail before your business inbox, and read the activity log for a week.
  4. 04Keep loan documents, ID numbers and lockbox codes out of it.
  5. 05Ask your broker. Many brokerages have AI and data policies, and client email belongs to your business.
  6. 06Check what it has learned about you. You can open and edit its memory files, and The Verge found it inferred her interests from Instagram data.

Muse next to an assistant built for agents

Muse is broad and cheap; an agent-specific assistant is narrow and does the real estate work without setup.

Where Sifta fits

Use Muse for your life and Sifta for your business: Sifta is built around leads, lenders and closing dates from the start.

Starting takes about two minutes: pick a plan, connect Gmail or Outlook and your calendar, and text it. Sifta is an AI assistant built only for real estate agents. Here is what it does:

  • Connects to Gmail or Outlook and your calendar, and runs by text from the Messages app on your phone.
  • Drafts the reply to each portal lead in your voice, with real open times, and texts it to you to approve.
  • Tracks the deal dates it finds in your email.
  • Pulls comps on any address you text it.
  • Books showings from the group text with your client.
  • Briefs you every morning.

It does not make phone calls and it is not a CRM. Sifta Pro is $199 a month.

If Sifta doesn't catch something worth more than the price in week one, you don't pay.

The bottom line

Muse is worth trying for errands, research and inbox cleanup, and it costs nothing to start.

Don't expect it to run your follow-up. It doesn't name your CRM, your MLS or your lead sources, and it trains on your conversations until you switch that off.

Try it on your personal inbox first and decide from there.
