Realtor.com RealAssist vs Sifta: What Each One Does, and When to Use Both
RealAssist AI works on your buyers and their home search inside Realtor.com+, and you can only get it through an MLS that offers Realtor.com+. Sifta works across the rest of your business by text, at any brokerage and in any market. If your MLS has Realtor.com+, use RealAssist for search and Sifta for the follow-up around it.
Side by side
The biggest difference is scope: RealAssist covers the buyer search, and Sifta covers the busywork around every client and deal.

What RealAssist does well
RealAssist takes the setup work out of a new buyer, and it keeps you up to date on what each buyer is doing.
It walks you through adding a buyer and a co-buyer, keeps a running list of what they want, and builds matching searches. Its Daily Digest sums up each client's chats, searches, alerts and price changes, with a suggested next step.
When it drafts a message to a client, you approve it first. Realtor.com also added RPR data inside the workspace for NAR members, and an invite link you can use at an open house.
Where RealAssist stops
Realtor.com describes RealAssist working on buyers and searches inside Realtor.com+, not on the rest of your business.
None of the launch coverage says it reads your email or texts, works with your CRM, or helps with sellers, lenders, or deals under contract. If your MLS does not offer Realtor.com+, you cannot get it at all.
That is not a knock on the product. It was built to make the buyer search better, and it does that.
How to use both together
If your MLS offers Realtor.com+, the two fit together without overlapping much.
- Invite your buyers into Realtor.com+ and let RealAssist build their searches.
- Read the Daily Digest in the morning next to your Sifta brief.
- Let Sifta draft the reply when a new lead comes in from Zillow, your website or a sign call.
- Let Sifta keep the lender, title and inspection dates moving once you are under contract.
- Keep the approval step on in both, so nothing reaches a client you have not seen.
