What RealAssist AI does
Realtor.com launched it with three jobs, all built around buyers and their home search.
RealAssist started on the consumer side of Realtor.com in June 2026. The October launch brings it to the agent's side of Realtor.com+.
- Client setup: it walks you through adding a buyer and any co-buyer, keeps a running list of what they want, and builds home searches that match.
- Daily Digest: one summary per client of their chats, searches, alerts and price changes, with suggested next steps.
- Agentic Actions: it suggests a task, like tightening a search with MLS fields or drafting a message to the client in your tone, and helps carry it out.
- You approve everything: agents review each action before RealAssist takes it.
What else came with it
Realtor.com added three more things to Realtor.com+ in the same release.
- Realtors Property Resource (RPR) data inside the workspace, including market trends and reports, for NAR members.
- A public invite link or QR code, so you can invite a group of buyers at once, for example at an open house.
- Listing notes that you and a connected client can both see.
What it does not cover
Realtor.com describes RealAssist working on buyers and searches inside Realtor.com+, not across the rest of your business.
None of the launch coverage says it reads your email or texts, works with your CRM, or helps with sellers, lenders or deals under contract. WRE News also noted that the approval step does not settle bigger questions about who can see client data.
If most of your day happens in your inbox and your text thread, RealAssist covers one slice of it.
RealAssist AI vs the Compass AI Assistant
Both put an assistant inside a platform agents already use, and both are free to the agents who have that platform.
| Realtor.com RealAssist AI | Compass AI Assistant | |
|---|---|---|
| Announced | October 6, 2026 | July 20, 2026 |
| Who gets it | Agents whose MLS offers Realtor.com+ | Compass agents; affiliates from 2027 |
| Main job | Buyer setup, search and a daily client digest | Client records, follow-up emails, saved searches, likely sellers |
| Acts on its own? | No, agents approve each action | Works from what the agent asks |
| Price | Not published | Not published |
If your MLS does not offer Realtor.com+
You can get the same kinds of help from tools that work at any brokerage and in any market.
| Option | What it does | What it does not do |
|---|---|---|
| CRM AI features (Follow Up Boss, Lofty, BoldTrail) | Summaries, suggested messages and tasks inside the CRM | Works only on what is in the CRM |
| ChatGPT or Claude | Writes anything you ask for | Does not know your clients or notice new leads |
| An assistant by text, like Sifta | Notices new leads and deals, drafts the next message for you to approve | Does not replace your CRM or MLS search |
Where Sifta fits
Sifta does the follow-up side of the job at any brokerage, in any market.
Sifta is a personal AI assistant for realtors. It runs the busywork of your business, so you can spend your time with clients.
It works from your texts, email and calendar, keeps the follow-ups going with leads and past clients, and drafts every message for you to approve.
